I’m using version 7.6.4.1 on Windows 11. In writer, I can insert an OLE object (a .png file) and select display as icon. It works fine. But, when I open the properties dialogue for the icon, go to “area” and select “image”, the image file I chose doesn’t replace the default icon. Instead, I can see parts of it peeking out from behind the little stylized mountainscape icon. The icon still works, but it’s hiding the icon I chose. Is there a work-around for this problem, or something I’m doing wrong?
Please give more details on the procedure and attach a sample file (probably several file as you’re inserting as an OLE object, meaning you reference an external file). To deceive the site engine which is very selective on the type of attached files, add .odt to the full file name if it is not accepted. E.g. rename data.xyz as data.xyz.odt so that we know the original name and can reset it after downloading.
