If i try to open a shared file already opened by another user, under windows operating system (doesn’ t metter the windows version) the file is correctly opened in read-only mode, but on ubuntu 13.04 the answer is an input/output error.
why?

Not sure this is a libreoffice problem. You should check your samba configuration or consider filing a bug to the Ubuntu guys
