I recently updated my laptop (now on Windows 11) and LibreOffice, but when I try to open Impress files I had created previously, all the images are corrupted. These are LibreOffice .odp files, not converting from something else.
The images are mainly screenshots, and these have resized and changed the visible area.
This means that about 8 years of tutoring files are no longer usable - is there a way to fix this?
Your files weren’t affected by the version change. These files are archives, and you can view their contents using any available tools.
Your problem is likely related to LibreOffice settings in the new system.
Start with this tip.
If you click Slide > Slide properties > Slide and change the format from 16:9 (or whatever it is set to) to say 4:3 do the pictures appear correct?
This didn’t seem to have any effect on the images that are not displaying correctly.

You can upload a file that doesn’t contain sensitive data and displays incorrectly in your version of LibreOffice. If possible, please attach a screenshot showing the distortion.
We (forum members) can then view it on different platforms and different versions of LibreOffice.
