Option-click in scroll bar doesn't work

In most applications on my iMac, option-clicking (or alt-clicking) in a vertical scroll bar JUMPS the focus directly to that point in the document. In LibreOffice, however, it just jumps down (or up) one page, as if you’d done a regular left-click. The jump action works in almost all other software. Why not in LO? Or is there a setting I’m missing somewhere?

My system: iMac 2019 running Catalina.

Note: I’m actually clicking on the top button of my Logitech MX Master mouse, but I’ve got that mapped to option-click. And a real option-click doesn’t work.

You could instead use Navigator in the Sidebar to go directly to Headings in your document, even down to level 10 headings.

Or in Navigator use page numbers which I find less useful, Ctrl+G opens Go To dialogue which shows total number of pages so easier to guess which page number to enter

Yes, I saw Navigator mentioned positively in a different thread. I will explore that. But I’m used to using Opt-Click in (nearly) all my apps without thinking, so it brings me up short when it doesn’t work correctly. I appreciate it when common gestures/keystrokes do the same thing in all my apps, so I’m frustrated when I have to remember an exception. I’m wondering if there’s a technical reason for the difference.
But thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check Navigator out.
