Page Break/Table Issue

Hi all,
I have used Libre Writer for almost 10 years and in general i find it very good, however buggy. I am working on a new catalogue for my company which consists of 40+ pages and 100+ tables (1 per product category, 1 image and 2-3 lines of text per cell).
For some strange reason, some of the tables will add an invisible pages break before or after. I have searched the web thoroughly and tried the various methods to avoid this however, nothing seems to work. Here are my table properties:
Break - unchecked
Allow table to split across pages and columns - checked
Allow row to break across pages and columns - unchecked
Keep with next paragraph - unchecked
Repeat heading - unchecked
There are no page breaks out of the table and i have thoroughly checked this. From time to time i can select the heading from the next table, backspace but it will remove the previous table and put this heading alongside the heading of the previous table.
If anyone could help with this i would be truly grateful, failing a fix, i will have to move to the dreaded MS Office!
Hope i am posting in the correct place.

Update:
After writing a posting this, i read back what i had wrote and realised it may be an issue with the heading and not the table. So i read up on that issue and found that was not the case. However, i placed the cursor in the bottom right cell and hit Alt+Enter, then went the the next heading and hit backspace which seemed to be a workaround on this issue for now. Not sure how sustainable this is though.
OS: Windows 10, LO: 7.3.5.2 x64 - .odt

I will attempt to close for now. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

You’re on the correct place but we need more factual details. First, OS name, LO version and save format (.odt or .doc(x)).
A small sample file exhibiting the issue would greatly facilitate the diagnostic.
I don’t understand the stance with the heading. What is the purpose? Is it a table heading (first row of the table)? Or some “chapter heading” between two tables (usually styled Heading n)? Do you want to erase it?
More generally, is your document formatted with styles or direct?

At this stage, please, don’t answer with a comment but edit your question so that all relevant information is at a single place. This is nicer for contributors.

It is easy to make a sample file that doesn’t have any confidential information - just make a copy of part of the document, paste it in a blank document, then replace each letter in the document by a random letter as follows:
In the Find box, enter [A-Za-z], in the Replace box, enter x, click More options and tick Regular expressions, then Replace all. Do the same for numbers. You can replace pictures by empty frames. Save and upload.

@GrahamD you don’t seem to be willing to provide any sample file which would help to understand the issue.

Since you don’t describe accurately the initial state of the document, I assume that you didn’t enable View>Formatting Marks nor View>xxx Boundaries which would give some clue about which “element” you try to remove.

From experiment, Bksp nor Del have never deleted any table. They may erase contents but don’t remove the table. Even when there is no paragraph between 2 tables, the aforementioned keys don’t delete tables.

I’m very curious about this mishap, so please provide a document for examination.

As mentioned in my update, the problem for now is resolved. I will attempt to recreate the issue to provide a sample document. Please be patient as this could take some time given all of the variables.

Sometimes the Alt Enter trick works, sometimes not-so-much. I have had sucess cutting the table, pasting it to a blank document, stripping all the little backwards P’s from both ends, returning to the original document and doing three Enters, and copy / pasting the table from the dummy document to the middle backwards P.
