“Misinterpretation” means you did an astonishingly poor job describing yourself - both what you did (possibly you used an insert page number wizard - but that became possible to guess only after you posted a screenshot) and what your see… and people tried to guess the rest out of your scarce data, and ask for missing bits. The only one attacking here is yourself; and you also ignored any common sense, flooding the thread with multiple disconnected short comments, each not answering anything - as if you used WhatsApp or something, ignoring rules… I can only second @EarnestAl: goodbye, and continue fighting as much as you like: the sooner you understand that it’s more useful to try to improve your question, instead of trying to defend that you are golden, the better for your own good (meaning, only then you may possibly get an answer useful for you - unless your only goal wasn’t getting an answer, but creating a thread where you could attack others who didn’t understand you).

" and you also ignored any common sense"
Common sense says I should do as I am instructed,
which is in fact what I did.

…Because you have not used a real page number label, but you used only a simple text. That will be repeated in all of pages that us same Page Style. The page numbers in the LO are special labels (FIELDS). They will increase automatically page by page.

As I already stated, I don’t have or use Microsoft word.

I deleted all the page numbers manually and I did exactly as I was instructed too do,
which is: insert, page number, page wizard click “ok”
When I did exactly that I ended up with no page numbers on pages 3-5, 12, and 14 and the pages with page numbers were off to the right and not centered as it shows in the page wizard “alignment:”.
