…Because you have not used a real page number label, but you used only a simple text. That will be repeated in all of pages that us same Page Style. The page numbers in the LO are special labels (FIELDS). They will increase automatically page by page.
As I already stated, I don’t have or use Microsoft word.
I deleted all the page numbers manually and I did exactly as I was instructed too do,
which is: insert, page number, page wizard click “ok”
When I did exactly that I ended up with no page numbers on pages 3-5, 12, and 14 and the pages with page numbers were off to the right and not centered as it shows in the page wizard “alignment:”.
The office suites was developed for typewriting assistants in the old DOS era.
Upload a sample document, PLEASE.

I’m using Linux Not Microsoft Windows so there is no Ms- Dos.
Also, Libreoffice was developed in 2011 according to the Document foundation.
That’s 11 years after Ms- Dos stopped being widely used.
I don’t know of any paralegal who still uses typewriters.
Except its not being repeated 1,2,3… as the page wizard shows.
Page numbers are being omitted on some pages and misaligned on pages that have the page number.
We can not guess, what you did wrongly - without an ODF type sample file. You can replace all of text content to “*” or other character, if is it contains personal informations.
.
And I will not answer your personal messages. I will answer you only on this public area.
Which means your document has been so tweaked in attempts to “fix” the issue that it lost all its structure and organisation. Obviously, you don’t master office suites and seem to be reluctant to read manuals. Writer is a very powerful tool allowing for very complex document layout if needed. It can also do simple tasks, e.g. a letter to aunt Annie, in a very straightforward way. However, understanding of a few elementary things is required, notably the difference between a dumb mechanical typewriter and a modern document processor, plus the humility to admit that modern tools require a reconsideration of one’s routine habits.
Without a sample file, it is impossible to assess what’s wrong in your document. My guess is you messed up with page styles (a notion you probably don’t know about) not even being aware you activated them.
If you still persist not providing the beginning of a shadow of a clue about your document, you can count me out of this question. The only factual technical information we have so far is: Linux (but which distro and which version?). We have no idea about your LO release (don’t say “latest”; this does not mean anything without the details of the distro) nor about the format you save your documents. All these elements play a role in problems.
I got a 4.0 in office computing.
This is scapegoating.
So you can critique my writing and formatting which has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the question I asked?
My guess is you are Not really much of an expert when it comes to writer because you keep scapegoating and provided no solution.
Assumptions are not facts, technical or otherwise.
Good riddance!
