Libreoffice version: “Fresh” Can’t read, can’t highlight and copy, no copy button, but I reinstalled today (the entire suite).
I reinstalled because for quite a while now when I select any of the settings windows for document elements like paragraph, page, table… styles, those windows cannot be resized at all (not good in 2026) unless there are only a few settings, the settings overlap and only a few can be changed, and when I click on one instead of getting a drop down menu I get a pop up window detached from the settings window and at the top of the screen, and those too are only wide enough when the choices are small words, so the text doesn’t fit.
I have read what little I could find on it and that all says it’s due to the DE settings and screen scaling, but I cannot raise the resolution, or lower the font sizes without having to squint at the screen, and that with all apps, so that is not at all a solution, nor acceptable as one because for me it’s an accessibility issue.
I asked the AI in Duck duck go and it also can’t find a solution and had me on a multi hour goose chase changing the desktop files and all sorts and was getting ever deeper into stuff many apps rely on at risk of breaking all sorts, and it doesn’t listen, can’t remember what was already said and it got so frustrating I told it to F off! 
Nothing works!
Even worse: for the last year or more I’ve noticed that there are fewer and fewer setting pages in the preferences, and after I reinstalled today (and I did delete the libreofffice4 folder first) there were no interface settings at all to lower change the font sizes and what not!

Sorry to say it but for the last few years the problems with Libreoffice are not just more frequent, but worse problems that one can not work around, to the point its unusable, and I have decades worth of files made with it, and so it is now messing with my business big time, and the problems overwhelm any improvements. It’s really sad too because there is so much stuff with it that is already not intuitive, very impractical, not well thought out, nor user friendly, that has been for a very long time and when users ask for improvements we get a lot of they are not bugs but features and evasion… and a lot of arguing back and forth before anyone on your teams steps back thinks critically and rationally and finally understands why people are not at all unreasonable, and so Libreoffice went from taking Open office which was the same way, and improved it greatly, only to put it in knots and mess it all up again! That was your goal, but now you have become that which you forked OpenOffice for in the first place!
