I don’t understand why the List with tabulation style doesn’t take up the full width. This problem only happens if I use the tab, otherwise it works fine.
What did I do wrong or omit?

If the page width is 5" (Is it?), and left and right margins are set to 0.5" (?), a tab stop at 4" must work.
So, tab stop position = page width - left margin - right margin.
The screenshot help just a little here. Better if you share a reduced sample file (at least a screenshot with the cursor in the offending line, and the horizontal ruler visible).
