Using LibreOffice 25.8.0.4 on XUbuntu, I like the way I can set parts of the interface, love the dark mode too. But checkboxes are inexplicably huge, there is a huge border around a checkbox which makes no sense. What is the setting to change that? I have tried several things but cannot find it.
Another thing that is too big is the focus border. It pushes the other elements away, making the interface flicker and very unsteady. In the screenshot below, the first icon is selected, the second has the mouse hover, the icons to the right are moved to the right about 2 pixels just because of the hover. I would love to know the settings for that as well. Is it a theme / UI thing?
I think it can be a configuration of the appearance of the operating system, not LibreOffice.
I do not use Linux but i’ve seen several post with problems that they said to have problems with Wayland or similar.
Have you tried to install / use some other theme in Tools > Options > Appearance?
Thanks for the reply. I have not seen that type of checkbox anywhere else in the system otherwise I would have looked there. I am using X11 and not Wayland, by the way.
I tried installing some other themes, but only the ones I thought I might like. I will download and test them all.
