Hello everybody…I have given my writer document a password which works perfectly on my laptop. I have pasted it to Google Drive but cannot open it from there…can anybody help please?

Google Drive does not know how to open your password protected document: password mechanism is a kind of proprietray encryption.
With a password set with LO, you will be able to open your document only in LO, not in any application.
The only way is to download your document to your computer, and then open it with LO.
