Pasting content with equations to thunderbird?

Is it possible to write a document with equations and then paste them to Thunderbird messages?

Some observations I’ve made:

• Exporting to HTML and copy/pasting from there transfers neither equations nor images.
• Copy/pasting Writer to Thunderbird directly transfers a lot of content correctly, but LibreOffice Math equations are just outright omitted.
• Copy/pasting Writer to Thundebird using the TexMaths extension for equations gives the same result, even if equations are inserted as PNG and other images are inserted as expected.

Just attach the document, or the PDF export, or some image export to the email.
The message part of the Thunderbird has a limited text editor capability.
