Permanently remove the "Make libreoffice better" etc banners?

(v7.0) Is there a way to remove the banners permanently? I find them a distraction to the work I need to do. I also think the fact there’s no easy way to stop these (that I’ve found) could reduce the useability of LO for many users who don’t have the knowledge to do anything about it. In my experience, it started with the update nagger, now it’s the Make LO Better banner, and I’m seriously thinking about using an alternative office suite.

I once recommended LO, it was a pinnacle the F/OSS world could be proud of. It’s quickly being reduced to nagware and (SADLY!) a good advertisement for the proprietary office packages that exist. I would very much like this to change.

With still running LO 7.0 you maybe should follow the update nagger’s advice and update…

Anyway, FOSS lives from contributions by people getting involved, be it code, QA, translations, design, anything. I don’t think an occasional reminder every 90 days or so about that is too much. However, you can disable it by setting the Product preference LastTimeGetInvolvedShown property to 0, in the expert configuration.

Calling that nagware and an advertisement for proprietary office software is way over the top.
