I understand how to create a customised paragraph style and this can be used in the document in which it was created, but I haven’t yet found a way to make it persist so that I can use it in new documents, as you would when using a customised template for a page layout etc. Is this possible?
Open a blank document.
Set up your paragraph style(s).
Save via File > Templates > Save as Template.
In the “Save as Template” dialogue, enter a name and tick “Set Template as Default”.
