Are you sure you asked on the adequate site? What is this .odb extension? Even forcing it through LO gives “General I/O error”, meaning LO didn’t recognise any of its supported formats.
On this site, always mention OS name and LO version (supposing you’re using LO).

But it’s useless here, because as “database” it has
<db:file-based-database xlink:href="../../../DIGITAL-ORNAMENT-PRIMER/DOP-BOOK/DOPdraftodf.odt/" db:media-type="application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text"/>
which of course does not work without (or even with?) (and why an .odt as database).

In your Writer interface make sure View - Images and charts is highlighted. It toggles visibility of images
