pivot table greyed out and not accessible in LibreOffice calc spreadsheet that is unprotected
To create a Pivot Table: Select only the data you want to include in your table. Go to Insert, choose Pivot Table from the main menu and click to insert pivot table.
In the Pivot Table Layout is where you set up the pivot table by selecting where you want your data to appear in the new pivot table.
I had a sheet where inserting a pivot table was grayed out, because the tracking was enabled.
Clicking onto Edit/Track Changes/Record asked for confirmation to stop tracking. After that I was able to insert pivot tables in that spreadsheet.
