Poor fonts on Windows 10 PC

Hi,

I have just installed LibreOffice (Version: 6.4.3.2 (x64)) on Windows 10, and the font rendering is really quite poor in Writer. If I use Google Docs etc it is much better.

I also have a couple of Macs that I use and the fonts look absolutely fine on those, so let’s not start the whole ‘Hur hur hur should have used Linux’ stuff please? I use more than one device for what I make and write and would like to be able to use one software program on more than one machine.

I am running Windows 10 Pro version 1909.

Any help appreciated.

If set, try to disable OpenGL in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Category: Graphics Output -> Option: [ ] Use OpenGL for all rendering and check whether that fixes your problem

That has helped a lot, thank you. I never realised that was a possible option.

For the records (according to OP’s comment)

Disable OpenGL in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Category: Graphics Output -> Option: [ ] Use OpenGL for all rendering
