Not sure if this is a problem or not, In Calc the following issues have been observed:
- in the formula bar the numbers such as 1 and 3 have the first half obscured (not showing) almost like they are over lapped by another box, the default font is Liberation Sans font size 10
- This has been observed in the drop down box that shows the font size also, the number 1 of font size 10 is only half visible it is almost like it is far to left
- I have also noticed it in font size list in the format cells dialog box

I am using Windows 7 service pack 1, so I am not sure what Windows 6.1 means
