Hi,
I’m doing a small book with several chapters which I’m saving as a pdf. I’d like to have a clickable Table of Contents so readers can go to chapters that interest them and skip ones that don’t.

I’ve created a TOC and populated it by inserting chapter titles. So far, so good.

But the instructions I find for creating actual links from the TOC to the text are so dense I can’t do it.

Anyone know of some video that explains it like a 5 year-old can understand it?

Unless you have modified the default TOC configuration, links to “chapters” (any level of Heading n) are automatically created. Transferring them to PDF is a matter of configuration when exporting.

Maybe the [Ctrl+click] thing.

Yes, I found out that you have to make your chapter titles “Heading 1”, and then Libre does the rest automatically, (or something like that).
