Printing Avery Form 5267 Does Not Format Correctly

I had high hopes coming from Word and MS Office after many years. My first task today was to print a page of return labels. But the page prints too close to the left margin and I can find no way to move the text or increase the left margin. Seems like a bug. Very frustrating after all the high hat praise from all quarters. May have to go back to Word, which just works period despite the price.

No one has been stopped yet. But if you provide more information, someone might be able to help you.

Which

  • operating system do you use?
  • LibreOffice version du you use?

In which file format do you save?
Did you use the corresponding Avery template from LibreOffice?

With me:

Version: 26.2.1.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 620(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE
Calc: threaded

Where do the label data come from? Excel file?

windows 11, latest version of libre since i downloaded it yesterday. trying to type full sheet of same address since this is a return address label so I typed it in and had to cut and paste. Another pain with Libre.

return address labels, so I typed my address and cut and paste in each of 80 boxes. another difficulty, i could not find an easy way to replicate rows or blocks of cells. this is not a mail merge document.

menu:File>New>Business Cards…
Brand: “Avery Letter”
Type 5276
Fill out the first label
Click “Synchronize”
That’s it.

[Edit]
If you don’t see a floating toolbar with Synchronise button on it then create a new label as described in @Villeroy comment but also click on the Options tab of the Labels dialogue and tick the box Synchronise contents. Also Help: Creating and Printing Labels and Business Cards

I finally found a solution. There is an editing screen, I found by accident, where one can change all the dimensions of the form being edited, and they will “keep” as long as you change the name of the form. So I changed the left margin from .28 to .38 to create an artificial indent on the page, at least for the time being. Perhaps with further exploration I’ll find a way to edit the margins, centering and spacing “within” the label box itself so this step will not be necessary. I’d check solution but this is only a partial. I still feel like I’m back in the 80’s exploring all the arcane features of my first Wordperfect or Lotus.
