Hello all, I have a question about using DeepL translation integrated with LibreOffice Writer:
- I got a DeepL API free account, which allowed me to generate an API Key.
- I entered this key and the DeepL API URL for Europe (I’m in Colombia, South America) in LibreOffice Writer.
- This enabled the Translate feature in LibreOffice.
The [LibreOffice instructions](file:///Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/Resources/help/en-US/text/swriter/01/translate.html?System=MAC&DbPAR=WRITER&HID=modules/swriter/ui/translationdialog/action-area1#bm_id271673471090428) say this:
Translation works in two ways:
- Whole document: when there is no selection, the whole document is translated. Each paragraph is sent individually in order to minimize the output timeout for each paragraph.
- Selection: the selected content is sent to the DeepL server for translation.
However, whether I select a block of text or make no selection, nothing gets translated when I use the Translate function. There are no error messages or other feedback.
Does anyone have any ideas? I am trying to translate an entire book, which should work, according to the docs.
