Quick close leaves LibreOffice hanging

Only File Exit closes LO cleanly, If I simply close the window, two LO processes remain in Task Manager and LO will not start again until I terminate those tasks – and then it appears that LO had crashed, not closed cleanly. This has been going on for weeks now…

You cant trust computers to have more patience than you with repeated processes. If you don’t change something, why should it stop?

… because this is what happened: You told the OS to crash LibreOffice, if it was not crashed before.

One question would be, if you have the quick-starter active. Have you viewed processes in your task-manager after reboot before LibreOffice is started? How many processes, if you use/create a new file?

Try safe-mode or renaming your user-profile.
.
As you don’t tell versions or your OS, only some general hints are possible…

Safe mode did the trick. All better. Thanks!

Safe mode tells LibreOffice to start without reading your profile, so it is usually not wished to do this always.
.
So next step would be to rename your old profile-folder. “Rename” is better than “remove”, if you have dictionaries, macros etc to loose… If you already have a backup of the profile remove would pose no additional risk.
