Rasa Font Family - One Font is not visible in Liberoffice font option

As a part of language translation project, our team member is sending us the file with embedded font in .docx file.
But when i am opening the same in liber office, the same font is not visible in font option of Liber office.

Font Family = RASA
No of Font - 5 (Light, Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold)

I have all 5 installed in my office but somehow only 4 visible in font option. BOLD is not visible.
Because of which the formatting done using BOLD font is also not appearing in document.

Can you please help and investigate.

Also the Font RASA REGULAR is very wierd after opening file.

After installing the fonts, it turns out that you have to set the attributes and size in the CTL font settings, where all weights are available. Bold and semi-bold are often used interchangeably, so it’s just possible that they display the same. It appeared to me that boldface made the letters slightly wider at very large font size, but that was all.

That is not the case…font looks very clumsy and weird and but when it opens of microsoft word, or google docs it looks very organized. (in Liberoffice it looks like alien font)

Google Docs also displays text in a non-western script, but does distinguish between regular and bold. For the rest I can’t tell the difference.

Opened it in Google Docs, copy & pasted it in LibreOffice; then it looked fine, but still a foreign script - like for some Indian language. This may be a conversion problem. Consider filing a bug report.

One More thing, when i am saving file in RTF format, and reopen the RTF file then it looks absolutely fine.
I am not able to make out the cause for this…
Issue observed in DOCS file where font looks like alien script.

LibreOffice (and MS Word) display fonts by R/I/B/BI style groups (Regular/Italic/Bold/BoldItalic).
The Rasa Bold font is in the Rasa Regular style group - and is accessed using the Bold button.
Just like Arial Bold, Times New Roman Bold, Verdana Bold, Liberation Sans Bold, etc., etc.
Italic fonts are also in the style groups which is why you do not see italics listed in the normal font list either.
They are accessed using the Italic button.

This is normal behavior.

It is not like that, when i am saving file in docx format from google docs and when opening it in liberoffice, the font look alient type…and it is showing in totally diffrent language.
But without doing anything, if i just save the same file in RTF format and reopening the RTF file then everything looks clean and clear.
Problem is only when opening file in docx format.

(language here we are working or talking about is indian language (guajarati))

Let me know what else is required.

The document opened for me in guajarati.
Perhaps the issue is two of the fonts are embedded in the docx file.
So you could be dealing with duplicate font issues, which can cause font cache corruption.
The RTF would not have embedded fonts.
