i have a calc sheet with a few embedded controls like buttons etc. with attached events.
but when i save the file as read only , these controls seem deactivated and not clickable.
they are still visible but dead.
ive also used a macro to turn off design mode when the file is opened.
All works as intended if its not read only
i assume its a known problem but is there any way around it ?
i need to be able to allow other users to open this file and use those sheet controls without being able to save the file, so read-only is a must

Hmm - personally I won’t a file to perform any action on my system, if I open the file read-only (i.e. sometimes expectations are incompatible).
