Removal of duplicates all the sudden is broken in calc. Have uninstalled an reinstalled libre office.
when i highlight entires in my spreadsheet it turns the text black and sometimes removes it altogether.

What is a duplicate in your specific data and how do you try to remove it? What is the result of the removal compared to the expected result?
Re-installing LIbreOffice installs exactly the same bytes you have removed before. This is not a typical Windows program.
Yes, value highlighting shows values in blue font, text in black font and formula results in green. How is this related to removing “duplicates”?
