Indexing 15 odt files within a Master Document. Frequently crashes, especially when editing the index entries. Often Recovery doesn’t work, and yesterday LO wouldn’t even re-open… had to revert to OO to continue. Generally, closing down and restarting LO will fix things. Using Win8.1, LO 5.0.4.2. It all seems so easy… are there instructions I’m missing?
v5 LO appears to be astonishingly bug-ridden. It can only be considered stable (which is what “Still” is intended to be) if you are prepared to rewrite every English dictionary worldwide.
I suggest that, for a year or two, that you revert to the 4.x series.
