^s when mouse focus is in the find box

Good Afternoon All

O/S: Linux Mint 19.3; LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3 Build ID: 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.10

I have determined that ^s does not work when the cursor focus is in the find box within the find bar either in Writer nor Calc.
Is this the expected behaviour?
If not, I will submit a bug report.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I’d assume only Find&Replace dialog supports regular expressions in Find input field.

Sorry. ^s means “Control + s”. The save command. Nothing to do with regexps.

Hello,

see #tdf119200 - At least for calc my assumption seems to be correct. Since the bug report is still open, creating a new one will just create a duplicate (my assumption, not at all involved in the process).

Hope that helps.

Was the question about regular expression ^s or was it rather about the hotkey Ctrl+S for Save not working? If the former, regular expressions are available only from the Find&Replace dialog. If the latter, that’s expected, Ctrl+S does not work in any dialog input.
