I refer to this webpage: Safe Mode

In the instructions there it says for “Reset to factory settings”:

The first option Reset settings and user customizations resets all configuration and UI changes, but keeps things like your personal dictionary, templates etc.

The ‘etc.’ isn’t pretty helpful. Can someone provide a list of exactly what will be retained. For example, will ‘extensions’ be retained or removed on using this option?

I guess the folders listed here, LibreOffice user profile - The Document Foundation Wiki

For safety, I would use the manual method listed above. Rename the user folder to user2025-03-05 and allow LibreOffice to create a new one then copy those folders back.
It is worth backing up the user folder from time-to-time.

Another option: use several profiles. An example of a call that will use the folder C:\Temp\LibreOffice.

scalc.exe -env:UserInstallation=file:///c:/Temp/LibreOffice

The default configuration will be installed at the first start.
