Save As... not working

I just upgraded to 7.1.6.2 (Mac) and now cannot do “Save As”. I get a spinning beach ball then nothing. Tried from menu bar and from menu (File > Save As…).

The file open is CSV and I need it as a XLS before using. Tried Export… (nothing happens); tried Save Copy As… (again, nothing happens). This happened in writer as well (different document)

MacOS 10.15.17 Catalina

Apologies if this isn’t posted correctly. It’s taken me ages just to figure out how to post and the help I read says it’s outdated.

Have you tried removing LibreOffice disk access, then giving the new LibreOffice installation full disk access from System Preferences > Security & Privacy?

Sorry, don’t have a clue what you mean. Application updates/upgrades are dragged into Applications and launched. Never, ever used such a procedure as “disk access”. Nor heard of such. I don’t see any applications listed in Security & Privacy.

Is this new to this version? (I’m new to LibreOffice but not Mac.)

In that case you need to give LibreOffice full disk access. A random search found this site with pictures: Explained: What is Full Disk Access & Full Permissions on macOS Mojave, it is probably very similar for Catalina.

I would have been more inclined to download 7.1.7.2.

Thanks. This works. Disk Access is something new to me and I’ve used Mac for ages. The version you quote is one above mine. Will take a look for it.

If 7.1.6.2 works on your computer then no reason to go to 7.1.7.2 which is virtually the same.
7.1.6.2 had problems for a small minority of people not being able to open but at the time you posted, 7.1.7 was the current version
