Save As window does allow change of location

I do not use LibreOffice very often and think if I saw the Save As window as I now see it, would have posted earlier. IMHO, the window look like something from Windows 95 (sorry developers). And I am on macOS Sequoia.

Don’t see method to upload an image so will attempt description:
Path shows current folder and list of LibreOffice files within. I cannot change the Desktop folder only where the current document lives, the dropdown doesn’t show anything else. Or save to Documents or anywhere else or a removable device.

Don’t see method to upload an image

See the section Ask a Question at Ask/Guide - How to use the Ask site - The Document Foundation Wiki - upload is the tool you want.

Have a look in LibreOffice → Preferences and under (I think, not sure exactly how Mac looks) LibreOffice → General there may be an option under Open/Save named Use LibreOffice dialogs. Toggle the selection there and see if that helps.

robbleyd, nowhere the Assk/Guide do I see reference to an icon that is for uploading, when in the Edit window, an image to illustrate my point. I did see a bunch of search reuslts relating to what should be in the image but not how to upload it. I know it would help explain my dilemma so appreciate assistance.

@macRBC Please don’t use Suggest A Solution for a comment, instead click the comment bubble in the comment that you want to reply to.

Click the Upload icon to open a navigation dialogue from which to select your file. Or just drag the file from your file manager on to the open Edit window.

Note that new users are limited to one image per post.

If you click on, and open in another tab, the images shown in this screen capture from the Wiki page you’ll see the options more clearly.

Each forum has their unique way of doing things and as I seldom post here wasn’t sure of this forum’s ways. Obviously, I didn’t find answer in the AskGuide… I’ve now uploaded an image to my original post showing (I hope) what I refer to.

So did you change the save dialogue in the way that @robleyd gave in the first comment? That is, click LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > General and untick Use LibreOffice Dialogues

Never knew about that Preference and no idea how it got checked. Alll is better.
