I think in MS Word there’s a feature named scaling text which can expand or condense the text. What is the analogue for LibreOffice?
I have not Word since decades, therefore I do not know the (new) features of the Word.
- Do you mean the Zoom feature (for the screen)?
- Or do you want to resize the characters in a doument?
- Or you find a feature that present in the Calc application: scaling the sheet for the printing?
Usually you have written your text in entirely style formatted segments or paragraphs. Scaling the font sizes of the paragraph styles will do. It is quite easy (and I recommend this way of proceeding).
.
Another (not recommended) way is to enlarge font sizes or character spacing or paragraph/line spacing manually. For this purpose you find an OpenOffice extension still working on LibreOffice: paraDTP. It is a simple step to install and use this extension.
.
Another way is to proportionally enlarge the page size, export the result into PDF file and to print out onto one page.
scaling text which can expand or condense the text
Format > Character > Position > Spacing.
This is a Manual formatting method. I suggest you to use the Styles instead the unefficient Manual (Direct) formatting method. (Use the Character styles in this case.)
With all the good suggestions / remarks, possibly this is what you are talking about:
Format
→ Text
→ Increase Size Ctrl+]
/ Decrease Size Ctrl+[
