Select text box in a protected document

Hi, i created a calc document and I absolutely need to protect it (it will be a shared document, and only certain cells will be available to modification). Unfortunately, when I protect it, I can no longer interact with a text box I inserted (when I click on it, I select the cells below it instead). That text box is very important to me, and I need to select it and modify the text inside it when the document is protected.
PS: when I work in Excel, the text box is available for selection and modification… But i need it to work in libreOffice Calc.

Any solution?

Hello,
just an idea, in attached calc file, i unprotected only Cell B5, which is linked to the textfield.
Before protecting the sheet, i switched off the form design mode.
Seams to work for me.

Wow, you are SO ahead of me. I don’t know what “form design mode” is and how to turn it on and off. I don’t even know how to link the cell to the text field.

Just for your information, there is a HELP in Libre Office, just hit F1.
