I can’t tell if it’s a problem with my keyboard or my notebook, but I can’t seem to select my intended adjacent cells for merging in LO-Impress. It seems to work as expected in LO-Writer.
For all inquiries, please specify: operating system, LibreOffice version (four-digit, e.g., 26.2.3.2), and the file format in which the file is saved. Thank you.
Try:
Restart in Safe Mode
As far as I know, you can only select multiple cells by mouse.
You could create the table in Writer and Paste Special as LibreOffice Writer table if you need more subtle control than that offered by Impress.
Just testet under W11 and Linux Mint, LO 26.2.5.2:
If i doubleclick a cell then i can expand/reduce selected cellrange by shift & arrow keys
