no matter how many times I change the line thickness of my graphs in the settings window, everytime I restart the spreadsheet with the charts the lines ALWAYS revert to their 0.07 setting… is there a away yo alter this base setting in the program itself
anyone?

What filetype are you using? Always use the native, international standard ODF file formats.
I save using Microsoft Excel 97-2003 (*.xls)
though this should NOT affect altering settings otherwise what is the point of settings… regardless of a save format… this is BAD software control
Did you see the warning when you saved in a different format?
If the obsolete xls format doesn’t support a particular feature, it won’t be saved, can’t be saved.
Always save in native format. If you need to send someone an xls file then click Save a copy and make that xls. Don’t work on that xls, if you need to make changes, make them in the ods file and save a copy as xls.
It’s not your fault but generally “bad speak” to use the term format for specifications designed to save something working in a computer to a persistent representation (file).
The RAM representations of Calc spreadsheets and Excel spreadsheets are different with every respect. Their features and tools are also different except for some “compatibilities” implemented to meet user’s expectations.
If “compatibility” with a different software should mean being a clone of what MS produced, no better software were allowed. You can’t “reformat” a real painting to a newspaper print.
