Shapes started printing as blurs of color in Draw

I’ve built a newsletter in Draw and the article headings are rectangular shapes with a transparent color area and text. Things were great until early September and suddenly the shapes started printing as big blurs of color. No text, no outlines. Works fine from my old Linux machine with LO 24.2.7.2 but not from my Win10 with LO 25.8.2.2. Can someone help me with this? Is this a bug or a Windows problem?

You can try it with a downgraded version of the LibreOffice (At least a portable version of it)
The older versions of the LO are available on this page:
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/
.
The Archive page is available from the Download page:

Could you share a (reduced) file here, so others can test?

So this is only in print, but not on screen?
Have you tried to export to pdf?
If the pdf shows ok on screen, but prints bad I’d seek in Windows/Printer-driver. If the pdf shows the problem on screen consider a bug-report for LibreOffice.

The problem only shows up in print. It exports to PDF just fine. In further analysis I found I updated LO to the latest version, 25.8.2.2, just before this started. I copy the file to my old linux laptop (LO 24.2.7.2) and print from there and it prints fine. I’ve set up a portable apps version of LO and will be experimenting with that one shortly.

The ‘shapes’ created before I installed the update still work fine. Just the new ones created after that print as a blur from the Windows machine.

I really appreciate the help and advice from this forum.
Thanks!

Everything works as it should using the current portable app version on the same machines. That makes me think this is a LO bug that’s popped up. I haven’t gotten to installing an earlier version on my desktop yet, but that’s next. For now I can at least use the portable apps version. It’s just slower.
Thanks so much everyone!

It might be a corrupted user profile, see LibreOffice user profile - The Document Foundation Wiki. Try first in LibreOffice safe mode, click Help > Restart in safe mode > Continue in Safe Mode and test printing.

If the above did not help then the LibreOffice installation might have been damaged, try re-installing LibreOffice
