Slide Layout vs Slide Master

I want to define a master slide with specific font formatting (size, colour etc).
I can change the font setting in the master slide, e.g. the first level of bulllet is font size 20, but when I create a new slide the font is based on the “Outline 1” style which is size 24 and ignores the Master.

So what’s the point of defining fonts in a Master Slide? do I define font properties only in the “Styles” menu?.

Hi, I’m using LO Impress 4:25.2.1 on Debian Testing. I’ve defined a Master slide with certain font shapes and sizes. When I create new slide (right click on left vertical slides bar->New slide) the fonts differ from those in the Master, for example font size is 24 vs 20 in the Master. On the right sidebar there is a “Properties” button which indeed shows a different font size from the Master.
