soffice.com --headless --convert-to pdf D:\test.docx --outdir D:\output hung and soffice.bin is not getting killed.
I can not translate other file once this is hung
I’d say you found the definition for process hung… As your backslash hints on Windows use Taskmanager (Alt-Ctrl-Del leads there) to terminate the process.

Does the docx-file load without headless?
We have this running on aws ec2 windows machine and we dont have file in hand to reproduce.
But for other files soffice.bin terminates but for this one file translation it dont terminate even after calling taskKill /im soffice.bin. It has been is use with that translation command.
