I am having a slight issue with trying to get my pages to have auto-numbering on bottom. I got the footer added but when I INSERT>PAGE NUMBER I get the words in grey, but not numbers. When I try to change the words to numbers, it becomes a regular text of a number.

Sorry, not sure how to disable embedded links/ads from me just trying to add a link.
I tried a number of methods I seen online but nothing matches what I am doing exactly. Videos or tutorials show multiple footer methods and such, but I did not see any showing what I got going on.
Can anyone help me out? I am sure I am overlooking something simple.
