Specifying Sheet in Print Ranges Edit menu

RE Calc in Version: 6.4.2.2 for Mac OS 10.15.4

I want the column titles printed at the top of each column on line 2 (line 1 is the header) on each page. I went to “Edit Print Ranges” and specified rows 1,2. I wrote the name of the sheet in the first line and got an “invalid sheet reference”

How do I specify the sheet and line numbers to be repeated on each page?

Hello,

check the answer to this question replicating rows when printing and adapt to your case (which ends in $1:$2)

Hope that helps.

To specify the sheet, then, one just adds $ to the sheet name?

No - $1:$6 means: from row 1 to row 6 of the current(!) sheet to be printed should be repeated and got nothing to do with any sheet number. I never had the requirement to print a sheet(!) using header rows from another sheet. That would be a quite unusual case and you can’t do that (just tested using $Sheet1.$1:$6). Hence each sheet needs to have its own headers (don’t confuse pages to be printed with sheets to be printed).

Thank you!
