Spell check has been unreliable, broken, in 4 and 5
and ignored by the erudite experts at The Document Foundation.
Rename the profile in AppData is no help.
multiple re-installs with ‘Typical’ and ‘Custom’ finds no working Spell check ‘out of the box’
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and 5.0.5.2 English UK
It’s rumoured that 3.x was the last version where spell check was reliable out of the box.
No 3.x .msi download seems to be available.
Lots of questions - many closed - with ‘Answers’ that don’t help.
Where is there any version of Libre Office .msi for a clean English UK install, that spell checks ‘out of the box’ ?
