Spreadsheet won’t keep the selected width of lines. Example: I select 20 lines with a width of 61 and save them.
If I copy a line with data to the new line the width reverts to its default, most of the time at 46 but it varies, 48 or 50. Many previous saved lines from days before also see their width change.
The selected saved width also reverts to default when I enter a formula in it.

By lines do you mean Cell Borders?
Paste as unformatted text (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+V), or Edit > Paste Special > Paste Special (Ctrl+Shift+V) to choose exactly what parts of the copied cell you want to paste.
I think you are asking for the height of rows. Not sure why, but sometimes it changes when I paste new content. In the meantime, follow @EarnestAl workaround.
