SSH protocol doesn't work on MacOS

Basics Information

OS : MacOS Sonoma
OS version: 14.2.1
CPU & GPU : M2 (ARM)
Open Office version : 7.6.4.1 (x86_64)

Problem explanations:
I’m hosting a local server running on Debian. This server is local only, and I use it with SSH. I can connect with my terminal. And it’s working. I recently installed Open Office on my laptop (about 2 days before). Today I want to open an odt file on my server. I entered the right SSH address, normally it should work. But it’s making nothing.

How to repeat the issue:

  • Install the Apple silicon version of Open Office
  • Open it
  • Click on remote files
  • Enter your SSH info (and keep port 22)
  • Enter, and try to access your files

PS:
I already read this error : Bug 98897 and it’s changed nothing. It doesn’t give any solutions for MacOS.

That bug report adds nothing for macOS, because that bug report is Windows-specific.

Note also, that this site is for LibreOffice, not OpenOffice.

Anyway, as explained in tdf#98723 comment 5, this feature is currently only available on Linux with Gnome libraries.

Thanks, for answering me. That’s one more valid reason to switch to Linux ^^
