Start chapter on right page

Each new chapter in my book should start on a right page. This question Make style start only on right page? tells how to format the page as a right page, but no blank page is inserted if necessary. Do I have to do that manual or is there any other solution?

No, you don’t have to. If you have set everything up correctly, Writer will take care of this task.

Hi @inekelautenbach , be welcomed!

1. First, prepare a RightPage page style (already exists in the LibreOffice page styles stock. Just double check and set it according to your needs).
2. Second, given chapter headings are usually formatted using Heading 1 title paragraph style, just configure that style so that it imposes a page break before, with the RightPage page style above (see the paragraph style Text flow tab).

From that, setting Heading 1 paragraph style will start a new chapter on a right page.

And you’re set!
