Stop headings in navigator from collapsing

If I have Navigator set to expand all headings, it often automagically switches back to collapsed view as I move between the document and the navigator. How can I prevent it from collapsing the headings? I.e. set a default to always keep the headings expanded no matter what I do (except manually make them collapse)?

Which operating system and LibreOffice version do you use?

Sorry,
Win 10 Pro 21H2, 64bit i5 12600KF.
Libre Office 7.2.5.2 (x64)

Headings used to collapse (or expand) when you double-click on them. I don’t remember in which release the behaviour was changed to click on the rotating arrow at left to expand/collapse. Now double-click only jumps to designated heading. Here, LO 7.3.4.2.

Yeah, that looks like you just click the plus or minus sign now.

I just want to keep ALL of the headings expanded all of the time -i.e toggle them on until I manually toggle them off. Especially as I move things around in the navigator. It seems LO is making some decision about what I’m doing and deciding when to expand or collapse on it’s own. I don’t want it to do that. I’m not sure why it would.

After some test with version 7.2.3.2, I found that if I close and reopen the navigator (F5, F5), only the Heading 1 headings and, if some, the actual lower level heading were the cursor is are shown.
If some text is added or deleted from whichever heading levels, all other headings (except Heading 1) are collapsed.

I have the same problem that the headings in the navigator collapse when I reopen a document. Then I need to expand them again. Would be nice to have a solution which keeps the headings expanded.
