Struggling to assign Ctrl+Shift+V key sequence

Installed: LibreOffice vs 24.2 on Linux Mint

I am struggling to assign Ctrl+Shift+V to: Paste Unformatted Text.
In the screen shot, “Assign” is disabled.

(I want this keyboard sequence to be consistent with my other apps.)

Could someone please help me with the detailed steps to assign these specific keys: Ctrl+Shift+V ?

Many thanks!

Maybe this is happening because the current key combination (in your screenshot it is) is F1?

Won’t the button become active if you scroll down to Ctrl+Shift+V? Or as Help suggests

Hi. There is no Ctrl+Shift+V in my upper window, after careful scrolling, can’t see it.

Assign is disabled because F1 is currently selected in Shortcut Keys. F1 itself is disabled (probably because it is “universally” associated with Help and handled by the OS or because it is hard-wired to some function inside LO).

What you see in Keys is the currently assigned shortcut. Click on it and Shortcut Keys selection will jump to this combination. You can now Delete it before reassigning it.

You can also select directly Ctrl+Shift+V and Modify this empty entry. The Paste Unformatted Text is then assigned to two key combinations, thus keeping the default assignment.

Hi. There is no Ctrl+Shift+V in my upper window.

Scroll down. Key sorting is not “intuitive”.

I’m buggered if I can find Ctrl+Shift+V in the list???

Are you talking about the Shortcut Keys section or Keys?

Ordering in my 7.6.5.2 is Fn, Shift+…, Ctrl+…, Ctrl+Shift+…, then Alt+same sub-sequence.

Shortcut keys.

Just select any item in the top pane, and on your keyboard press the key combination you need to alter:
Ctrl+Shift+V

The selection should then jump to that entry. Proceed to select appropriate function in the lower left/middle panes, click Modify, and the entry should also repeat in the right (keys) pane.

Right. Just set found and assigned Shift+Ctrl+V and that assigns ok to Paste Unformatted.
I assumed the key sequence was significant.
Thanks!
