Templates in calc

I am investigating templates in calc.
Can a template be made to make all/new cells default Liberation Sans 14 point?
When I “manually” enter data into a new sheet using a1 thru d4 setting all to 14 point, adding new data to new cells (outside the a1 thru d4) all cells are 10 point by default.
I have to re-apply font-size to new cells to change them from 10 point to 14 point.
If using a template, would adding data to new cells automatically have the 14 point applied.
I understand using templates in writer, but not in calc.
Thanks, Tracey
When I am creating a new spread sheet all the cells are 10 point by default.
When I was younger 10 point was not a problem, but now I want the default cell point size to be 14 point.

Likely you use version 7.5 or 7.6, which is affected by bug tdf#153527. It will be fixed in the next 7.6 release.

But setting the properties of default cell style, and saving as a (default) template, is a better way.

In the latest version 24.2.0.1 on Win, still testing, it is already fixed

Please advise.

It’s the new year.month versioning scheme, release will be in February 2024. Currently 24.2.0.2 (release candidate 2) is available for testing, see LibreOffice 24.2 RC2 is available for testing - LibreOffice QA Blog.
