Text Box Applying Background Colour

Hello, I want to change background colour of a text box. I used to be able to click on text box and then the background icon on the toolbar would change the background colour in the text box. This no longer works and the background colour in the last used cell is changed.
Similarly if I want to copy a text box, I used to be able to highlight the text box and then cut/copy-paste. Again now the last cell is copied rather than the text box.
There seems to be an issue selecting text box and applying actions.

Please give us more Informations.

Textboxes - especially arranged or sent to background - can be selected these ways:

  • Navigator (F11) ↦ double click
  • Drawing tool ↦ choose the select cursor and draw a frame around the textbox ↦ textbox will be selected

Then any of the properties can be altered.

(Probably there were some problems in the latest LO versions. So please provide OS version and LO version for better answering your question.)

EDIT
After updating to LO 25.2.5.2 the textbox was no more editable. See @PKG 's workaround.

Thanks for the workaround.
