Text from main part of screen is bleeding onto/superimposing over text in the right sidebar

On various ‘help’ (etc.) webpages here (e.g., the ‘ask question’ webpages at http://ask.libreoffice.org/), I’m getting a lot of ‘bleeding’ of on-screen text into text in the right sidebar.

That is, the text from the main part of the screen extends into the right sidebar and superimposes itself over the sidebar text (creating a ‘double vision’ effect).

A blatant example of this can be seen (at least on my Mac computer) on the following webpage, especially in the sidebar sections labeled “Public thread,” “Stats,” and “Related questions”:

Is this a known problem?

(Using a MAC, OS 10.6.8/Snow Leopard, Chrome browser)

Thanks.

Note: I have edited the answer causing the problem in the thread you list so it should display OK now. There are some other examples of large images cause the same issue in the thread I link in my answer below.

Duplicate of AskLO: Can we limit the width of img, blockquote, etc.?.

Resolved with the update to Askbot version 0.7.49.

You are not alone in your concerns. I detail the problem in this thread. The example thread you point to contains an answer with a lengthy internet link that does not wrap well. Any single item in a question, answer, or even comment that is oversized forces the size of the surrounding container in question to expand, thus ruining the elegant display of all question/answer/comment content. A solution is proposed in the linked thread, but there has not been any fix made yet.
