Is there a way of turning the text in a button 90 or 270 degrees (in other words change the text orientation)?
I don’t believe so, but I don’t work with form controls very often. I’ve just had a poke around and I can’t find an option to change the orientation of text in a button.

@bantoniof But how do you set it? I have the same option but there is nothing interactive within that unlabelled box that I did not notice at all until seeing your post
Ok, wow I had no idea that box was editable. It really is a poor UI design for that feature.
@Boshond This is how you do it if you can’t follow @PKGs screenshot (also if you’re marking one as a solution, please mark PKGs post)
- Create the button
- Right click, and select
control properties - Enter a label for the button
- In the small drop down box next to that label, edit the text that is in the box and put each character on its own line by hitting
enterafter each. Select OK - Close the dialog and resize your button to fit the text.
The button has a multi-line Label field.
We simply enter one letter per line.
Also, I don’t see the Text direction Property.

Yes, changes in LO version.
This is related to and enabled when you have complex text layout (CTL) enabled which enables right-to-left text for some languages. This is now enabled by default as of 26.2 and also has nothing to do with the text orientation discussed in this thread.
