Text selection box has border,, but selection has no color

I’m using Libre Office 26.2.2.2 on a Mac Air. When I select text, I do get a blue border around the text, but text itself isn’t highlighted. How do I get the highlight color?

The highlight colour might be set in your operating system, check on Apple site to see how to change highlight colour for text. It sounds a bit like there could be another problem.
You can get LibreOffice to override the system setting.
In 26.2 the setting to change highlight colour (Accent Colour) is not immediately available in Options with the default settings so

1. Click LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Appearance
2. Tick the box Enable application theming. OK
3. Allow LibreOffice to restart.
4. To change the highlight colour, Click LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Appearance and under Customisations, select Accent Colour and then choose a colour for that. OK and allow LibreOffice to restart.
